It's over 2 and 1/2 months already.
I am now a permanent employee to Borneo To The World Sdn. Bhd. (BTTW)
I was accepted as a trainee, for a period of 6 months.
But after a month plus working, the chairman offered me the post, backdated to April 1st :)
So yeah, I was a trainee for only a month.
Alhamdulillah, for the rezeki.
I just got my driving license last 2 or 3 weeks.
I know, pity me.
Only get my driving license at the age of 24 -___-"
What do I do at my new office?
I am currently responsible for the quality of the product and the management itself.
So, I am the QA/QC Personnel of the company.
What is Borneo To The World?
It is brand name, aiming for a global market.
Aiming for the high end market.
To actually be as high as Estee Lauder.
The different is, we are a manufacturer of handmade natural soaps.
Yup, you read that right.
Our soaps are made of food grade oil and plants.
We are using Borneo's exotic plants as our ingredients.
Dabai, also known as Sibu Olive, the texture and taste almost resemblance the olive, only found in Sarawak, are one of our premium product.
We make soaps out of honey, oats, green tea, bario rice, sarawak's black pepper, lavender, geranium, kaffir lime and also sago.
That's our first 10 products, we have a lot more coming out by the end of the year.
No other chemical like paraben, SLS or anything else that is harmful to your skin.
The only chemical we are using are alkali (lye)
Lye used here is sodium hydroxide.
It is not harmful at all when it has gone through the saponification process.
Saponification is a process where the fats reacts with the lye to create soaps.
We are using the Cold Process method whereby no heat applied to our process.
The only heat produced are the one resulted from the reaction of lye and fats.
Is lye dangerous?
Well, for our product, we ensure that the amount of lye added to our mixture is at least 4 to 10% less than the fats.
Why?
This is to ensure that all lye reacts with the fats, and the extra percentage of fats actually are for the benefits of the skin, it will definitely moisturizes your skin.
And our soaps are left to naturally cure for at least 21 days.
Why?
Because during this curing period, the bits of lye left will definitely be consumed completely by the saponification process and to let the excess water in the mixture to vaporize.
No harm to your skin :)
We are also collaborating with Malaysian National Commission for UNESCO (MNCU) to help in conserving our rainforest in Borneo, which is the 3rd largest rainforest in the world.
We employed the hearing-impaired individuals to work at our factory, to help them have their own income.
We even have the help from Agricultural Research Centre of Sarawak, to help us in preparing our ingredients. We bought our ingredients from the locals and natives of Sarawak (they plant them using traditional ways and safe from harmful chemicals) where we then send to ARC for sterilizing process.
Other than that, we are also the organizer for the Eco-Trip program, which is a program where students from other part of the world can come to Borneo for an educational trip, to learn about the different culture of the natives of Borneo. This is also to give them exposure on the importance of conserving the rainforest.
So yeap, that's definitely it about BTTW.
You can visit our website for more info.
We are having promotional sales for May and June, which is 30% off of our retail prices.
10% of the net profit will be contributed to conserving the rainforest program.

At around 7.26am on this date, 24 years back, a girl was born.
She has been known as Ain Shaqirah since then :)

It has been a very good year so far.

InsyaAllah, will be a permanent one.
Pray for me ya?
Takda apa yang aku perlukan lebih buat masa nih.
Aku ada keluarga yang happy, kawan-kawan yang tersayang.
Semua cukup sempurna.
Cuma, harap goal nak capai ideal weight tuh berjaya lah dalam tahun nih :D teeeheee :P

One thing You Can't Buy Anywhere. One of the most precious memories ever :)
I prolly just had the best birthday dinner EVER! :)
Thank you so much to my bestfriend since childhood, Amira, for all the effort she had pulled off for last night.
Thank you so much sayang :)
So very much.
She actually organised the dinner to celebrate my advance birthday (29/02/2012, yes, mine is on leap year) and Anum's belated birthday (15/02/2012).
And Mira will be going back to Miri this coming Friday, back to her Uni's life. I is sad ok :(
That's the main reason of the early celebration of my birthday.
Anyways, here are some photos from the night.
This won't be a long post since I am that lazy, and awesome.
We had a dinner reservation at this cool place called Sharing Planet.
Nice place, great ambiance and serene too, I must say.
